Forgiven.

I know we have all heard “forgive others as God has forgiven you,” but do you extend that same courtesy to yourself? The most difficult person to forgive is always yourself. I do not know about you, but I tend to focus on the things I do or say in hindsight. I think, “what could I have done differently?” Or “If only I had said or done this.” God’s grace that he extends to us is unconditional. Every wage of sin was paid in full on the cross of Calvary. Jesus paid it all. If someone who is perfect can forgive us why can’t we forgive ourselves?

“In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace,”

—Ephesians 1:7 ESV

We all slip and we all fall. We are breakable and undeniably human. But God loves us anyway. He knows everything about us, and he loves us for each and every thing. If God can forgive you for what you are holding on to, why can’t you?

“Having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope to which he has called you, what are the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints,”

—Ephesians 1:18 ESV

Have a blessed day y’all!
