The thoughts of someone trying to be perfect but realizing instead that God is perfect.

Unfinished.

So I believe I’ve said this before but I love art. Paintbrush or pencil in my hand and I’m a very happy camper. That being said, one painting in particular has haunted me for a while. It has been sitting untouched for years now. I just tried to ignore it and hope it would go away. Obviously that did not happen. My next thought was to paint over it and make it something new. However, something inside of me just couldn’t do it. The next thought was to give it away. But I didn’t think anyone would want it as it is. Then it dawned on me. This painting is me. I am a work in progress, I am unfinished. God is still creating, adding, and subtracting. He is molding me into who he has called me to be.

”being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:“—Philippians 1:6

We are not here to please other people or to be like other people. We are meant to be the person God created us to be. We are his unfinished masterpiece.
