Random Ramblings Of An Imperfect Girl, Loved by a Perfect God.

I know what you are thinking, why in the world is she writing a post about mud? I promise there is a method to the madness, trust me. So, I’m sure like me you have been bombarded with posts, stories, articles, and casts about all the election drama. Truthfully it can all get messy and confusing the more you read or listen to it. After the 53^rd post, I decided to pray. My anxiety was high. The overthinking started to swirl. Suddenly, through the mess I remembered a story. John 9:3-7 says, “Jesus answered, “It was not that this man sinned, or his parents, but that the works of God might be displayed in him. We must work the works of him who sent me while it is day; night is coming, when no one can work. As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.” Having said these things, he spit on the ground and made mud with the saliva. Then he anointed the man’s eyes with the mud and said to him, “Go, wash in the pool of Siloam” (which means Sent). So he went and washed and came back seeing.” The overload of information is only serving one purpose, to blind us to the truth. The mud is the word of God the absolute truth that will open our eyes for the first time. See I told you it would make sense! The world wants to keep us blind and confused and therefore compliant. The word of God is meant to break the chains and set us free. The word gives us hope and purpose and is God’s love letter to his children. No matter what life throws at you his word will never change.

“Why do you see the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when there is the log in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother’s eye.”

Matthew 7:3-5 ESV

Get the log out of your eye! Get into God’s word! Break the cycles of fear and uncertainty. Let God open your eyes to what he is doing and how we are a part of his master plan. Have a great evening y’all!
