Something I struggle with is self doubt. No matter what I do, I always doubt my abilities, doubt my situations, and most of all I doubt who I am and my work for Christ and the Kingdom of God. It is natural to doubt, it is just human nature, but sometimes you can feel the doubt is something more sinister. Doubt is also a favored tactic of the enemy. While he can not make us do anything, he can plant the seeds of doubt to throw us off our course. Once we give it space in our minds the enemy will take full advantage and turn those tiny seeds of doubt into full blown deceptions. He will have you believing some of the worst things and throw you completely out of control. But Jesus purchased our freedom on the cross. His precious blood set us free from the hold of the enemy. Through him we have the power to rebuke the enemy and his lies. To throw them back into the pit from whence they came. We were purchased by God, and he has given us an assignment while we are here. The devil and his deceptions have no hold on us any longer.
“But that is not the way you learned Christ!— assuming that you have heard about him and were taught in him, as the truth is in Jesus, to put off your old self, which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires, and to be renewed in the spirit of your minds, and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness. Therefore, having put away falsehood, let each one of you speak the truth with his neighbor, for we are members one of another.”— Ephesians 4:20-25 ESV
The enemy only has power when you give it to him. You were made for more than his petty lies and deceptions. You have a divine appointment, and you are on a path that only the one true God, our Heavenly Father, can set in motion. Walk in faith knowing that the powers of darkness have no hold on you. Have a blessed day y’all!
