The Battlefield- Part Two.

When I think of a battlefield, I think of a deserted stretch of land with multiple advantages and disadvantages on either side. I see the soldiers lining up in specific array wearing their full armor, getting ready to sound their battle cries. However, I have been shown that the battlefield we are in is our daily life. From the moment we open our eyes in the morning, the battle begins, and it is personal. Our minds, our hearts, our spirits, are all fair game according to the enemy. Whatever devices will make you stumble and fall the fastest and keep you down the longest are deployed immediately and without thought or consideration. However, the one thing the enemy always wants us to forget is, he has already lost the war. He has been defeated, and he has no power over the children of the Most High. We are covered by the blood of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Everything you are living, everything you are thinking, everything you are feeling, he felt too. God became man to sacrifice himself to save humanity. Because he knew that we were fallen and hopeless to save ourselves. In 2 Corinthians 10:3 it says, “We destroy arguments, and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God and take every thought captive to obey Christ.” When you accept Christ Jesus as your Lord and Savior, God will teach and equip you with all the tools necessary for battle.

“Therefore, take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm. Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace. In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one; and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end, keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints, and also for me, that words may be given to me in opening my mouth boldly to proclaim the mystery of the gospel,”

—Ephesians 6:13-19 ESV

Stay vigilant, keep the faith, and hold fast to the Lord. His love will never fail. Have a blessed day y’all.
