You know it shocks me sometimes how easy it is to kill so much time scanning social media. You can kill hours of your life just scrolling through hundreds of bytes of useless information. What does it really accomplish? It brings down your self esteem, it causes envy to rear its ugly head, anxiety hits an all time high, you covet what is not yours. At a low point I was trying to use social media to give myself worth. If I had this then I would be happy. If I could go here I would be happy. If I looked like that I would be happy. All that came from mindlessly scrolling looking for answers. Guess what…I never found them. The answers I was searching for were in God’s word. My worth is in Jesus Christ my savior not in anything this world has to offer.

The way of the world is chasing the impossible dream. That I will be happy if dream. No matter how much you have, or how little. If you don’t have Jesus in your life you will never feel whole. Our worth isn’t found in the world, it’s found in the nail scarred hands of our savior. Have a blessed night y’all!
