I know everyone has heard the saying, “until God opens a door, praise him in the hallway.” But have you thought through what that actually means?
The hallway is a time of waiting, a time where patience is tested and where spiritual growth happens. The hallway is where God wants one on one time with us. Whether you are in between jobs, waiting on a dream to come to fruition, or waiting on your miracle you are in the hallway for a reason. God wants your full attention he wants you to trust in him and in his process. I will be the first to say patience is not my strongest virtue but I know that God is right beside us in this hallway.
“This I recall to my mind, Therefore have I hope. It is of the LORD’s mercies that we are not consumed, Because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: Great is thy faithfulness. The LORD is my portion, saith my soul; Therefore will I hope in him. The LORD is good unto them that wait for him, To the soul that seeketh him. It is good that a man should both hope and quietly Wait for the salvation of the LORD.”
—Lamentations 3:21-26 KJV
I sometimes worry when blogs don’t come easy or frequently. I feel like I am stuck in a hallway with no way out. But I am the pen and God is the author. I am still growing and changing. So as I grow, learn, and change God will give me the words to say and the peace to know that this is for his glory not mine. Have a blessed day y’all!
