“Time is precious, waste it wisely”—K. Bromberg
I just love that quote. Time is a collection of moments that make up a life. Some moments we cherish, others we would prefer to forget. But each moment builds and shapes us into who God has ordained us to be. When you are a child you feel like time is moving so slowly that it takes forever to get anywhere. As a teenager you count the minutes until you graduate and are finally seen as an adult. Then when you are an adult and out on your own you long for the past more than you care to admit; because time literally flies by. But truthfully it’s not about the amount of time you have but how you spend the amount of time you are given.
“But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.”
—2 Peter 3:8-10 KJV
Remember, we were created for such a time as this. God looked through all of time and decided that this moment needed you. That this world needed you. As far as how much time we have left. I’m going to waste it by following Jesus and living my life for him. Just like it says in the song, “You can have all this world, give me Jesus”. Have a blessed day y’all!
