Funny thing about me is, much like a raccoon, I have a deep love for shiny things. I also have champagne tastes on a sweet tea budget. The truth about things is they lose their shine and the taste of champagne will eventually turn to vinegar. Time will change everything, not just us and our surroundings. The things we have here on earth money, jewels, and other expensive things will fade and will remain here on earth. We are not meant to remain here. We are just passing through this world on our way to our true home.

”Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: for where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.“—Matthew 6:19-21

This world has nothing to offer us but tribulation and heartache. Treasures here on earth are nothing compared to what followers of Christ have waiting for us in heaven.

”Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.”—John 14:1-3 KJV

Jesus paid our ransom. By his stripes we are healed. And the promise he made to his disciples all those years ago still holds true today. Soon and very soon we will be with our Lord and Savior and our Heavenly Father in paradise. Have a blessed day y’all!
