There has been several broad questions rattling around in my head for a while now. Who am I? Why am I here? What is my purpose? Some may see this as an existential crisis, but I call it finding my way.
We can read all the self help books, listen to all the podcasts, or watch all the YouTube videos. Most of these are what the world says we should be and that changes as much as the world turns.
“But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light: which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.”—1 Peter 2:9-10 KJV
We were placed where we are for a reason. God believed that the world as it is today needed us in it. We are his children and we are “fearfully and wonderfully made,” (Psalm 139:14 KJV). Our identity comes from God and the only opinion that matters is that of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. It’s like I’ve heard many times before, he thinks we are to die for.
